In a market where 5,000mAh has become the standard, Vivo is pushing significantly further, positioning the Y6a as a device capable of multi-day usage without a charger. To keep this massive cell topped up, Vivo has included 44W wired fast charging, a necessary addition given that a standard 10W or 18W charger would take an impractical amount of time to fill such a large capacity.

Beyond the battery, Vivo is making a surprising play for the “rugged” market. The Y6a ships with dual IP68 and IP69 ratings. While IP68 is common for high-end flagships—protecting against submersion in water—the IP69 rating is more specialized, certifying the device against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets.
