    Expanding the 2026 Lineup

Following the April debut of its flagship 65-inch displays, Lumio is diversifying its footprint in the competitive Indian television market. The company has officially announced the 55-inch variants of the Vision 9 (2026) and Vision 7 (2026), aiming to capture a segment of consumers who desire high-end display technology but are constrained by smaller living room footprints or tighter budgets.

The move is a strategic pivot toward the “sweet spot” of the Indian home entertainment market. While the 65-inch models served as a halo for the brand’s capabilities, the 55-inch form factor is historically the highest-volume seller for smart TVs in urban Indian households. By maintaining the same internal specifications as their larger siblings, Lumio is essentially offering the same processing power and panel quality in a more compact, affordable chassis.

The Vision 9: Bringing QD-Mini LED to the Mid-Range

The standout in this release is the Lumio Vision 9 (2026). This model leverages Quantum Dot Mini-LED (QD-Mini LED) technology, a sophisticated layering process that allows for significantly better contrast and brightness than traditional LED panels. By using thousands of tiny LEDs as a backlight, the Vision 9 can achieve deeper blacks and more precise local dimming, making it a compelling option for HDR content and gaming.

In terms of pricing, Lumio is playing aggressively to gain market share. The 55-inch Vision 9 carries a standard retail price of Rs. 51,999, but is launching with an introductory offer that brings the cost down to Rs. 44,999. This pricing puts it in direct competition with established players like Xiaomi and Hisense, who have spent the last few years dominating the budget-premium LED segment in India.

    Vision 7: The Value Proposition

For users who don’t require the extreme contrast of Mini-LED, the Vision 7 (2026) serves as the entry point into Lumio’s new ecosystem. While it lacks the QD-Mini LED bells and whistles of the Vision 9, it retains the same smart features and software optimization found across the 2026 series. This model is targeted squarely at the value-conscious consumer who wants a reliable, large-screen experience without crossing the 40k threshold.

The Vision 7 55-inch is priced at Rs. 39,999, though Lumio is offering a special launch price of Rs. 34,999. Given the current trend of “smart home” integration, the Vision 7 is designed to fit seamlessly into an existing ecosystem of connected devices, prioritizing app availability and streaming performance over raw hardware specs.

    Availability and Distribution

Lumio is bypassing traditional brick-and-mortar exclusivity in favor of a digital-first distribution strategy. Both the Vision 9 and Vision 7 55-inch models will be available starting June 4 via Amazon and Flipkart. This approach allows the company to maintain tighter control over pricing and delivery logistics while leveraging the massive reach of India’s two largest e-commerce platforms.

Industry analysts view this expansion as a necessary step for Lumio. In a market where consumers are increasingly sensitive to price-to-performance ratios, offering a 55-inch alternative ensures that the brand doesn’t alienate a massive portion of the mid-market audience who find 65-inch screens overkill for their space.
