Lumio Expands Indian Lineup With 55-Inch Vision 9 and Vision 7 (2026) Models

Scaling Down for the Mass Market
Lumio is filling a critical gap in its Indian portfolio. After the April launch of the oversized 65-inch Vision 9 and Vision 7 (2026) models, the company is now introducing 55-inch variants of both sets. This move is a strategic pivot toward the average Indian living room, where space constraints often make 65-inch panels impractical for many consumers.
The 55-inch Vision 9 (2026) is the more ambitious of the two, utilizing Quantum Dot Mini-LED (QD-Mini LED) technology. This allows for significantly tighter control over backlight zones, reducing the ‘blooming’ effect often seen in traditional LED TVs and providing contrast levels that edge closer to OLED territory without the risk of permanent burn-in. For the Vision 7 (2026), Lumio is positioning the set as a high-value entry point, focusing on color accuracy and smart integration rather than the raw luminance of the Mini-LED flagship.
Pricing and Market Positioning
The pricing strategy for the new variants reflects a clear attempt to undercut established players like Xiaomi and Samsung in the sub-50k segment. The Lumio Vision 9 (2026) carries an official MSRP of Rs. 51,999, but the company is aggressively pushing an introductory price of Rs. 44,999. This puts a QD-Mini LED panel in a price bracket where most competitors are still offering standard 4K LED displays.
The Vision 7 (2026) is aimed even lower. With an official price of Rs. 39,999 and a launch offer bringing it down to Rs. 34,999, Lumio is targeting the budget-conscious upgrade market. By mirroring the internal specifications of the 65-inch models—maintaining the same processors and smart OS—Lumio is effectively offering the same performance-per-pixel, just in a smaller form factor.
Availability and Logistics
Unlike many emerging brands that rely on a single marketplace, Lumio is utilizing a dual-channel distribution strategy. Both the Vision 9 and Vision 7 will be available starting June 4 via Amazon and Flipkart. This widespread availability is crucial for a brand trying to gain a foothold against the domestic dominance of brands like Vu and WK Electronics.
While the hardware specs remain identical to the larger siblings, the 55-inch panels are expected to have a slightly higher pixel density, which can lead to a perceived increase in sharpness when viewed from a closer distance—a common scenario in smaller urban apartments.
The Mini-LED Gamble
The inclusion of QD-Mini LED in the Vision 9 is the real story here. For years, Mini-LED was reserved for premium tiers, often costing upwards of Rs. 1,00,000. By bringing this technology down to the Rs. 45,000 range, Lumio is attempting to commoditize high-end luminance and contrast. If the panels hold up to quality standards, this could force other mid-range manufacturers to accelerate their transition away from standard edge-lit LED arrays.
